BILATERAL AGREEMENTS SIGNED WITH PALASTINE



Two bilateral agreements were signed between Sri Lanka and Palestine today, covering protocol issues relating to the two countries and avoidance of double taxation.

The agreements were signed by External Affairs Minister Prof. G.L. Peiris and his Palestinian counterpart Nour Al Maliki at the Presidential Secretariat, following a meeting between President Mahinda Rajapaksa and the Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas.

President Mahmoud Abbas, who is on a two-day official visit to the island, held one-to-one talks with President Rajapaksa today morning on issues relating to the countries. 

Bilateral talks were also held between the delegations of the two countries, according to the Government Information Department.
